Collards or Collard greens is a dark leafy green. It has a large leaf with thick stalks. collard greens are very high in vitamin K. They are excellent sources of vitamin A, vitamin C, and manganese, and moderate sources of calcium and vitamin B6
Store collards in the refrigerator. Make sure its dry, wet leafy greens will spoil quickly. Wash and dry thoroughly before use. Separate leaves from the stem before using for even cooking. It's best to chop the leaves in thin strips when cooking.
